Hi, Just wondering why it is that it's only the BKSA insurance policy that's valid for kitesurfing at Hayling. I already hold two insurance policies that include kitesurfing and am confused as to why I need a 3rd? Please un-muddy the waters for me as it were  Thanks, Russ |

Hi Russ
By becoming a BKSA affiliated club we are covered by the BKSA clubs insurance which protects the club committee and also gives the club cover for any events they should hold such as an AGM jam and BBQ
as of Jan the 1st 06 the BKSA split from the buggy club and the power kite sports fed and got its own insurance policy this was mainly to sort out the problems with membership and membership cards
as a result of this change we are required to hold BKSA membership and HKA membership to sail on Hayling beach

Thanks for answering that for me. I know a fair bit about the whole liability for the committee thing beause we've had to go through the same things for our club. It's still a shame when you have to have so many different policies and different memberships for everything when we all just want to do what we do and have fun, but I fully understand your position.
