Hello all
I have recently started kitesurfing and have just joined the HKA and was wondering if anybody lives in the Reading area?
Let me know if you want to do some car share to Hayling.

Hi guys I’m based near Banbury, not so far from Reading. Hayling is my closest KS spot, I’m a good friend of the A34! Learnt KS three and a bit years ago then promptly broke ankle Landboarding (fool). I’m making a serious attempt to get back into the sport this year, and would be happy to share the drive and petrol!
Planning a start in Hayling next week, weather permitting.
What do you think?

Hi Nathan
just wondering if you have managed to get your lessons done?

Not managed to yet. Am booked for the weekend of the 18/19 so not too long to wait. Am having the lessons on the isle of wight which seemed like a good idea in at the time but has been a really pain not to mention expensive to go back ! If there is no wind this time I am going to try somewhere that is easier to get to in poole or somewhere.
Anyway, will let you know as soon as I am ready as I cant wait to get started !
Cheers,
Nathan.

alright lads
Im pretty much in the same boat as you, just getting up on the board and getting going. Likewise Ive joined hayling and it would be good to hook up with some people of a similar level, help each other out etc. Safety in numbers and all that
I travel down from South East London and plan to be down there most weekends so let me know if your around.
Cheers Bri

That will be great. I go down when ever there is wind including during the weekend after work when the tide is right.
Forcast for this week looks pretty rubbish though. What size kite do you have? I only have one which is a 12m.

Hey Guys You mention getting out after work. Is anyone keen on early morning sessions before work?? If not I'm still keen to get out whenever the wind is good.

Ill probably head down this sunday. 19th june. On saturday theres a load of people from London going to princess Cable Tow, which is good for developing your board skills. Although the forecast looks ok for the weekend with south westerlies. Even if the forecast isnt that windy its worth going down as you never know what the sea breeze brings in.
Also Lancing at low tide is meant to be good for beginners. Check out kiteboarder.co.uk . The forum is pretty good for kite gear and info etc.
I dont use this ite too often but let me know if your down sunday.

ouch! Early morning would have to be REALLY early.
Afternoon sessions are best for me and I am now keeping my kit in the car so I can shoot down after work.
Is the wind any good in the morning or does it generally only blow during the day?

phone phil on 02392 460555 (shop number) for low tide times and check out www.zerogravityextreme.co.uk for the wind. SW and SE winds are the best for beginners. I wouldnt keep your kit in the car either
