I wish to start kite surfing as I was addicted to surfing when I lived in South Africa and unfortunately the waves in Portsmouth are none existent. I read on one of the sites that you should get insurance before going out kite-surfing. Is this a common thing to do or was the site just trying to promote safety?

all clubs require members to have insurance. if your not a member of a club you should have insurance anyway. its not realy an option at 30 quid a year for £5,000,000 3rd party liability just sign up as a member at bksa.org.uk/. plus if you have an accident involving a bystander without insurance you will cause all sorts of problems for our sport, and just give the politicians more excuses to ban kitesurfing everywhere. check the links for more info bksa.org.uk/philelbo.proboards46.com/index.cgi?board=battle&action=display&thread=1110534165 |
